Music Program

At Aspiri, our music program offers students a dynamic and enriching experience with designed to foster a lifelong love of music. Students engage in a variety of activities, including learning to play a range of classroom instruments, developing an understanding and appreciation of music from around the world. Students participate in both individual and group performances and learn about being being both a performer and an audience member in a fun and practical way.

Senior Choir

Students from Years 4 – 6 are given the opportunity to audition for a place in the Senior Choir program. The Senior Choir rehearses once per week after school learning a range of popular, traditional and new music from both Australian and International composers. The Senior Choir perform during special events throughout the year, as well as part of the annual Massed Choir Festival.

Junior Choir

Students from Years 3-6 are given the opportunity to audition for a place in the Junior Choir program. The Junior Choir rehearse every Friday during lunch time. The Junior Choir will perform at some assemblies throughout the year with the Senior Choir. They will also perform at special events at school and presentation assemblies.

Instrumental Music Program

“Aspiri Primary School is proud to offer instrumental music opportunities to students through Instrumental Music School Services.

The instrumental music program run in schools through Instrumental Music School Services is a unique and highly regarded program available to Western Australian Public Schools. IMSS provides free instrumental tuition and the opportunity to participate in a range of music enrichment activities for students in years 3 – 12 across more than 400 primary and secondary schools. 

Aspiri Primary School currently has an allocation for clarinet, classical guitar, violin and cello for students in Year 4 and 5. Selection into this program is based on musical aptitude testing which is run for all students in years 3 and 4 in Term 3.”
