Technologies

Aspiri Primary School is equipped with excellent computer and robotics technology to support and enhance student learning.  Your child will learn to use contemporary information and communication technologies including interactive televisions, robots, iPads and a range of computer resources (such as Micro:bits) that will support their learning and provide them with unprecedented, yet well managed access to information and contemporary models of learning.

The school has a Technologies teacher who delivers a program that engages our students explicitly in the Digital Technologies and Design Technologies Curriculums. Throughout the year students will explore physical and digital resources to develop their knowledge and skills in;

  • Understanding digital systems
  • Using and manipulating data
  • Coding
  • Working online and digitally
  • Technologies in society
  • Engineering, materials, food and fibre production
  • Problem solving
  • Design, production and evaluation of solutions

The students’ knowledge and skills then support our classroom teachers as they integrate ICT into daily practise to extend the students’ learning.

Aspiri Primary School is committed to providing outstanding integrated ICT teaching and learning practice with a high ratio of iPads to students throughout the entire school.

Years 4 to 6 will engage in a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.  To learn more, you can download our Students Information Communication Online Policy and/or our BYOD Handbook 2023
